The Rapture: You KNOW it’s nonsense
2000 Years of “Any Day Now”

Prompted by an evangelical group from Oakland that has been putting up signs declaring Judgement Day is coming May 21, an atheist group has put up this competing billboard in San Francisco, Calif. On Friday April 22, 2011, northbound travelers approaching the Bay Bridge were greeted by the billboard above a T.J. Max store. (Karl Mondon/Staff)

From what I understand about the Rapture, which is set to occur in just a few days, all the good people are going to be lifted up into Heaven, as seen in this picture. For those who aren’t already dead, things get problematic once you get a few miles up. I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna take the safe route and chain myself to the ground. YHWH has a pretty well-established history of killing people, and I can’t gamble that he’s not just going to fling a bunch of people into space, like He did with the dinosaurs.
