A note on Ask posts…
First I want to thank all of you that have sent questions, submissions, comments and words of encouragement. You all truly rock. Reading your thoughts fills me with the certainty that reason, logic, science and evidence (i.e. reality) will always be strong. Thank you all so much.
That being said it has been hard for me to keep up with all the questions. Some are so good it takes me a solid hour to try an address them in the most succinct and clear manner I can think off. It takes time and it is not easy. It goes without saying that some responses will take an extended amount of time. Like all of you I have work and bills to pay you know!!! :-D
As you can all imagine, many questions are repeats. Usually on repeat questions I would post an answer to the effect of “refer to FAQ on question #X.” Due to the volume of questions I will not be able to do that anymore. So please refer to the FAQ first. I have put it together as a resource on many topics like religion, atheism, morality, evolution and the like. Hopefully there you will find some info that will address the question or at least point you in the right direction so you can do your own research. Repeat questions will not receive an answer from now on.
On a related matter, I realize there is nothing more annoying in tumblr than someone you follow post-bombing (too many posts in succession) your dashboard constantly. To avoid doing that I use the queue option a lot. That means that if a question hits the queue it might take a while to show.
I suggest use of the “email me” link in the home page or leaving comments under any post (Disqus comments are enabled). I read them all and it is a quicker way to reach me and receive a response.
Lastly, it should go without saying that questions from identified tumblrs will be given priority over anonymous posts. And identified tumblrs that have ask, submit or an email function available will have a higher priority that those who do not. I might decide to respond to a question but that does not mean I will post it. So if you leave a way I can reach back to you I will try to do so.
Uff, this note ended up being longer than I thought.
If at this point you have stuck with me and are reading this sentence I can only say thanks!!! Thank you for your patience, for following, for asking, for reading and for sending all that needed encouragement.
