I find many are hesitant to talk about mental illness because it's abstract, difficult to understand, taboo, etc.; while talking about guns is easy because it's a hot political topic. Also I love your blog but I'm not sure how gun control debate involves atheism.
Both need to be addressed. Access to mental healthcare (and healthcare in general) and gun controls. See image below:
And yes, gun control may not be related directly to atheism but it does not matter. I post about many topics.
